Brewing Guides — Brew with intention
French Press Ground Brew Guide
Follow this method to experience its full character - bold, structured, and uncompromising.
The Brew
Use a ratio of 1:15–1:16 (coffee to water).
30 g coffee → 450 ml water
15 g coffee → 225 ml water
Without scales: 2 generous tablespoons per 180 ml of water
Water
Heat fresh, filtered water to just off the boil (90–96 °C).
Allowing the water to rest briefly prevents bitterness and preserves balance.

Warm your French press with hot water, then discard.
Add the ground coffee.
Pour water evenly over the grounds.
Stir gently once to ensure full saturation.
Place the lid on and steep for 4 minutes.
Press slowly and evenly.
Pour immediately.

Whole Bean Brewing Guide
Whole beans preserve freshness, aroma, and structure. Grinding just before brewing ensures the coffee is experienced as intended — balanced, expressive, and complete.
Grinding
Grind immediately before brewing.
Match the grind to your chosen method:
French Press: Coarse, like sea salt
Filter / Pour-Over: Medium, like sand
Espresso: Fine, like table salt
Fresh grinding maximises clarity and depth.
